We crawl on the ground - v2

We are burdened, beaten, exhausted,
We crawl on the ground, in pain, asleep,
when we should be climbing, soaring...
We believe the lies of Guilt, of Fear,
leading to judgement, to punishment,
leading us to a state of living death.
 
We cycle from Guilt, to Fear,
a repetitive dialogue, a mantra,
Never worthy, good enough,
self-centered, self-condemnation,
of what we have done, repeating,
of what we cannot do now...
 
Fear and Guilt, these are the shackles,
we pick, that we choose to carry,
because we have been fed lies,
from the beginning...when, by Grace,
God's Goodness and Mercy
pursue us in this life.
 
We crawl on the ground, only,
We believe the lies of Scarcity,
of Guilt, of Fear, that we deserve
our struggles, our sorrow, our longings,
When God gives us Abundance,
Everything we need in this life.
