When the #Amygdala gets the upper hand

I feel myself turning,
Changing in an instant,
Fear, anxiety rise,
Ready to overflow…
 
A life in words, in work,
Now manual labor,
Not knowing if this is my place,
Where I should be standing…
 
I sense the rise of panic,
Unsure of my next steps,
Anxious moments evident,
In the sweat on my brow…
