Locks – v2

We are untruthful,
unreliable, at risk,
our locks betray the truth,
we are ever corrupt…
 
Man’s nature is on display,
in protections we rely on,
our neighbors are a threat,
to all we possess…
 
Our locks are a witness,
to the present time, this age,
but we have been locking things,
before time began…
