God-breathed wisdom,
Written, gathered,
Held in our hands
Words of scripture
A gift from our Creator
To guide us, to teach us,
To lead us to heaven
To rebuke, to correct us,
To perfect us for life…
 
God-breathed wisdom
Words of holy scripture,
The story of Christ
Lessons He taught us,
How God came to save us,
To lift us, to restore us,
To life, in abundance,
The path to heaven
At the end of this life…
