I read the metal of her words
her life, her choices,
sacrificing her dreams,
for fidelity to her country,
her life for their lives,
but never losing herself...
 
sisters in arms, together,
warriors in the battle,
standing beside brothers in arms,
United together, one people,
to defeat this evil, this terror,
fighting valiantly,  courageously,
for their nation to survive...
 
Never losing their womanhood,
femininity, their beauty, their power,
but choosing to sacrifice,
living for their country,
sure in their purpose, their call,
to stand vigilant, on point...
