turning a page

coming up beside each other
turning a page in my life
handing them the yoke, the chains,
struggles I carry in this life…
 
change my heart, oh God,
to conform to Your steps,
letting others into my life,
places that I dread…
 
how I long to turn a page,
to let my past be my past,
to walk with You, Lord,
on the path You wrote for me…
 
change my heart, today,
bring me real healing,
conforming my steps,
so I would follow Your leading…
