Standing on the wall of Your city
straining to see God coming
staring into the darkness
yearning for the Lord…
 
I stand in the watchtower,
I wait in the darkness,
I long to see You, Lord,
though I do not see Your face…
 
When will You comfort me,
when will You answer my cries,
I am tired, hurting, Lord,
how I long for Your salvation…
