I bear the mark of my sin
my choices not to listen,
to taste of forbidden fruit
like Adam and Eve in the Garden
I have disobeyed God...
 
God has spoken to me –
not to listen to Satan –
but I have made bad choices
defying God’s word of caution
choosing to go my own way...
 
I bear the mark of my sin
the shame, the guilt has cost me,
changing the path of my life
my God-given purpose
when I have disobeyed God...
