strip me bare, Lord – v2 #poetry #God #Christ #Spirit #love #grace #faith #pray #prayer #Proverbs26 #Proverbs15 #wisdom #Matthew6 #Luke22 #calling #purpose #GodsWill

stained to be beautiful,
like wood covered, varnished,
on the surface set apart
but dead inside...

strip me bare, Lord,
raw before You fully
transparent in my walk
open to Your correction
to Your healing, oh Lord...

I come before You naked,
stripped bare of artifice,
of false righteousness...
honest before God...

pour into me wisdom,
acknowledging my failure,
staring at myself
in the mirror, naked,
before words of Holy Scripture,
fully exposed to Your truth...
