Saturated Believing – v9

Our bodies, our lives, soaked, filled,

dripping wet, drenched, overflowing,

like cloth prayer dolls, worn, tattered,

passed down through generations;

Immersed in the living waters

the promise of Your holy Word…

 

Living sacrifices, vessels, bodies,

each week, coming before You

entering into reverence, awe,

given in worship, to be filled;

Given for Your pleasure

for Your holy purpose…

Saturated believing, on fire,

filled with Pentecost flames,

not lukewarm in our coming,

In our sitting at Your feet;

We long to be filled by You Lord,

wet, drenched to overflowing…

invade my #heart, my #soul – v2

shake me, stir me,
crack me wide open;
create an opening, a path;
find a way into my spirit
pour me out, empty me.
 
pierce my shell, my fear,
my reserve, my clay,
my desire for control;
eternal Love flood me,
Spirit invade my body;
oh Lord, fill my soul.
 
invade my heart, my soul,
my empty earthen vessel
like the flames on Pentecost;
find rest, an eternal home,
deep within me, oh loving God.
 
wash me clean,
where I am broken,
restore me, make me whole;
drench my inner self
flood me, cleanse me;
oh Lord, fill my soul.

Pierce my shell
my reserve, my clay,
my desire for control;
May Your Love flood me
may your Spirit invade my body;
oh Lord, fill my soul.
 
Oh God, my Savior
wash me clean
restore me. make me whole
drench my inner self
Flood me, cleanse me;
oh Lord, fill my soul.

like taffeta of frost – v4

Like taffeta of frost

fabric of light

brocade of sheer fibers

cool mist descending;

presence falling, bright

weightless cloak

the Spirit’s calling to You.

For the Holy Spirit

Your love, Your essence

to bodily come down

to fall down upon us

offering us blessing;

Oh Spirit, descending,

fall down on me.

Fill this simple space, my heart

this place made sacred

set apart from the world;

holy fire fall quickly (urgently)

come down upon me;

Let me feel Your presence;

Spirit alight upon me.

The mantle descending – v4

A mantle descending,

but was this the Holy Spirit,

a living fabric falling

called to this place

to descend upon us.

A mantle falling,

a garment, a presence,

cool, light, upon us

falling down upon us

through the ceiling above.
