Understanding Job

Maybe not the scripture
the layers of God
but understanding his struggles
with trial on this earth

Sometimes so daunting
the things put on our plate
understanding the laments of Job
who tried to be a righteous man

Pain, trials, and death
come to every one
none of us immune
not fully protected by God

Assured instead
of life with our king
if we are faithful
and walk yoked to him
