Don’t listen to the lies of the Devil

the sinful nature of him

seeking to draw us down

into the pit of temptation

condemning our mortal soul.

Don’t listen to the lies of the Devil

the way he temps, he woos us

offering us treats in this life

a millstone, a condemnation

that leads us to death, to Sheol.
