trying to remove ink from milk
a dye of out of solution,
quickly,
cutting off the ties that
bind
holding us, that connect us
together
trying to remove ink from milk
a dye out of solution, made
clear,
roots sunk down deep,
within,
into the fabric, deep
meaning
trying to remove ink from milk
a dye out of solution, a
process,
striving to remove, to
extract
the threads, the drops
remaining
trying to remove ink out of milk
a dye out of solution,
completely
a slow painful process,
itself a journey
removing, severing all ties

trying to remove ink from milk
June 9, 2019
trying to remove the ink from the milk
imagery - not putting the toothpaste
back in the tube; but removing
a drop of ink out of a gallon of milk
or like fully removing kudzu
or the roots of dandelions from land.
