Not His body, not His blood,
not transubstantiation;
But as real as if that were so
as meaningful, as important
this moment sacred
a sharing, at the table of grace.
Kneeling, bowing at Your table
to accept Your offering
the physical reminders, symbols
of Your awesome gift.
May we sense your presence
standing here with us
watching over us
as we come to Your table
in prayer, in praise.
