baptism today is a completing of the journey I started 15 years ago when I came
back to my faith after being away from church for 25 years. I pray this act of
falling under the waters will truly be a dying with Christ, a dying to myself
and my past, and an outward expression of my dependence on God the Father, God
the Son, and God the Holy Spirit for my life, for my salvation, for every step
of my life. I profess Jesus Christ as my risen Lord and Savior, the Master of
my life. Amen.”
