A bed of lady slippers - v2

A single bed of lady slippers

in the woods, the clearing,

beyond our lean-to

of scraps and pieces.

A place for rest,

a single mattress

a place for one

out in the woods..

Rails, a head board,

so many lady slippers

a place off the path

above our house and home.
