outside of our circle

Who are the others, the strangers

those outside of our circle

those we see as outsiders

unworthy of our love?

 

How do we justify

our discrimination, unloving,

how do we reconcile

what we do with Christ?

 

He loved the outsider,

the stranger, the other;

He brought them all within

God’s circle of love.

 

How can we claim

to be a Christian,

a follower of Christ

when we do not love

all those we meet?
