The only son of a widow

The enormity of her loss

no safety net, no backup plan,

the only son of a widow

her lifeline cut.

 

Stopping His journey

with her, truly, in that moment,

touching, healing, saving,

restoring her to life.

 

The only son of a widow

raising, revived, restored

brought back to her, to life,

in His empathy, His compassion

His love for her that day.
