Seeing them walking forward
The young, the old, the others
All with one goal, one purpose,
Like watching sharks from the shoreline
Or maybe only seeing fish out of water
Never seeing them in their natural habitat
Where they live, they thrive.
Crossing the parking lot, at all hours,
Every shape and size and color
Carrying their sticks with them
Some like guns to a gunfight
Others like quivers over their shoulders
Different gaits, different affects,
Until they enter the door.
