“We have made our choice,”
words of resolve, defiance,
at the cusp of a new year,
the continuation of war.
He made a statement for his nation
no matter what others may choose
standing defiant before the aggressor
while the missile still rain down.
“We have made our choice”,
even if our friends grow weary
we will regain our ground,
we will not back down
“as long as we have breath”.
