Talking about the earth

Helping a customer,
learning part of their story,
evoking, triggering memory,
twenty years old.

A Cherokee, an underwater welder,
before he stopped working,
sharing love, understanding of this place,
this continent, our Turtle Island.

Assisting a customer,
but engaging so much deeper,
Talking about the earth
his life, his experience,
how he came to this place...
