They are forced to wait
To persevere in injustice
To shoulder this burden
While we are at peace…
 
They are in the vanguard
But they are unassisted
Standing against the tide
Of terror, of genocide…
 
They are alone, unaided
Under the weight of delay
They are forced in the gap
Where we would not go…
