he embodied his homeland,
the aspirations of his people,
he was the exemplar, the conscience,
the heart, of his native land…
their hope for freedom, for justice,
unchained from oppression,
every word he ever wrote,
was essentially Ukraine…
there is no other person, truly,
who wrote, who spoke like him,
the hopes of his people,
embodied his every word…
