separated from God

the wrath excruciating
far more than the lash, the thorns,
feeling singular emptiness
supporting the wrath of God…
 
estranged from the Father,
the Son writhing in anguish,
the seed of eternity, the firstborn,
dying in pain on our cross…
 
torture beyond our imagination,
feeling forsaken by God
Christ in His torment
suffering the wrath of God…
