pushing boundaries
tension present, rising...
provocation, escalation –
a toe stepping over a line –
a Sword of Damocles hanging
by a fiber-optic hair, a thread,
world war in the balance,
testing will, the resolve,
but testing self-control also
fingers near the button,
seeking to woo conflict
the other side first,
holding the lid on Pandora’s Box,
Staring into the abyss...

miscalculation is the greatest risk,
just above indifference,
who will blink first...
who will make a mistake...
a threat, real-but-fluid,
a front with many vectors,
across many borders,
many lines of contact,
different alert levels,
testing red lines, responses,
How quickly they will react...
Hybrid war is war
even if we deny it...
Bringing us close to the brink...

elegant diplomatic puffery,
promising far more than delivered,
afraid of threats, red lines...

mealy-mouthed language
empty condemnation
Sharply worded pablum
in response to attacks...

after twelve years of war
four years after invasion
Red lines must have consequences
not endless empty words...

Sharply worded pablum
is of no meaning...
only arms, sanctions,
will blunt these attacks...

escalation happens
when appeasement happens
Empty words only foster
ever greater attacks...

Stumbling into #War #WWIII #Russia #EU #NATO

A real existential threat is growing
as we turn a blind eye to their desires,
their acts of war growing bolder, stronger,
seeking to decapitate the continent,
to destabilize, to sow division within the circle,
to prey on their addiction to oil, to gas,
to seize power by sabotage, by assassination…
Russia is not constrained by Europe’s collective power,
by a will that is stronger than their ambition,
a coalition of the willing but the timid
Stumbling into war, Armageddon…

Do they even realize their error, their complacency,
their complicity in genocide, in their own destruction,
blindly thinking that invasion, terror, could never happen to them,
When history shows they were, that we are in an Age of Empires,
where might defines right, where genocide is not stopped,
where their fear of escalation is exactly what will cause war,
that they are stumbling into a global Armageddon,
thinking falsely that Putin will suddenly stop,
that he will be satisfied with Ukraine…
He is a madman, evil, a mass murderer.
He wants to recreate the Russian Empire…

The earth in danger – v2

Floating, ticking time bombs,
broken down tankers, adrift,
environmental disasters
recklessly traveling, venturing
out on the high seas…

Russia is a terrorist state,
unthinking, unfeeling, reckless,
playing roulette with weather,
risking the whole planet, this earth,
for his lusts, for their greed…

The world must step up, change,
gathering for the challenge,
for this moment, the risks,
to seize Russia’s shadow fleet,
to bring them to port…

Hybrid War is War – v2

Acts of war, lethal,
overt destruction, carnage,
prettied up with language,
denying the truth on the ground,
hemorrhaging of control, sovereignty,
withing our own nations, our boundaries,
needing to face the harsh facts…

Denial is just appeasement,
an enemy in its own right,
an artificial red line, hiding,
putting our heads in the sand,
pretending that this is an accident,
that these are not war crimes,
that they are not acts of aggression…

Hybrid war is war, evil, aggression,
though we fail to see it, deny it,
lost in our excess, our greed,
in our own personal shit, hiding,
not seeing the canvas, the context,
the far bigger picture, the truth,
chess pieces moved on the board….

We are in a hot war though we deny it,
for Putin the Cold War never ended,
no collapse of the Soviet Union,
nothing changed, no respite, no peace,
no change in Russia’s essential nature,
they were always our geopolitical Enemy,
as they always will be while he is in power…

Hybrid war, propaganda, terror,
boldness, poisonings, killings, sabotage,
pipelines, cables, election interference,
everything on the table, possible, permissive,
no red lines, no caution required, honestly,
when their enemy is silent, a state of appeasement,
no reprisals, just merely wringing our hands…

Their chess games are so different,
than how we see the world, as poker,
brinksmanship, influence, bluffing,
versus a relentless pursuit on the board,
willing to sacrifice pawns for their objective,
human life expendable, unimportant,
boldness, something we would never do…

Hybrid war a reality, wake up, we are at war,
all you leaders West of the Kremlin, vulnerable,
the man in the bunker is KGB, ready to attack,
learning from his elders, cold warriors,
willing to grab more land, corrupt power,
while we look at our cards, our choices,
we better act before it is too late…

Hybrid War is War

Denial is just appeasement,
an enemy in its own right,
an artificial red line, hiding,
putting our heads in the sand,
pretending that this is an accident,
that these are not war crimes,
that they are not acts of aggression…

Hybrid war is war, evil, aggression,
though we fail to see it, deny it,
lost in our excess, our greed,
in our own personal shit, hiding,
not seeing the canvas, the context,
the far bigger picture, the truth,
chess pieces moved on the board….

We are in a hot war though we deny it,
for Putin, the Cold War never ended,
the collapse of the Soviet Union
meant nothing, no respite, no peace,
no change in Russia’s essential nature,
they were always our geopolitical Enemy,
as they always will be while he is in power…

Hybrid war, propaganda, terror,
