Bronze Sky

In my rearview
a brighter shade
not like before me
washed in an amber hue

The bronze sky behind me
casting warming colors
the sun yet ablaze
to light our way

Heading from home to home
so many memories
family, sharing stories
the warming of the sky
before the coming of twilight
