struggling with prayer

with the words, the questions,

not knowing how to begin

to come before God.

wanting to be right

to be reverent, respectful,

but struggling to know

what to ask from our God.

struggling with doubts

with my own transgressions

mumbling prayers, groans,

when I approach the living God.
