A wildfire burns
A wildfire burns
A brush fire rages
commissioning each disciple;
The flames of Pentecost
flowed within them
a roaring wind alive.
A wildfire burns
Winds of fire move
consuming fear, trepidation;
They were ignited,
they began ministry,
sharing with the whole world.
A wildfire still burns
Flames anoint each disciple
igniting our lives, our spirits;
The indwelling Holy Spirit
fills us with passion, with confidence;
God sets our hearts ablaze.
