Planting seeds of connection
In each conversation
planting seeds of connection
life changes in the offing
for them, for us, together,
in each word we shared.
More than random, offering,
to each a connection, relationship,
taking time, sharing more deeply
sowing seeds, planting seedlings
nurturing the good soil.
For some forging relationships
making lasting connections
if they were interested, hopeful,
longing for light, for water,
for the seeds, the seedlings to grow.
Mighty trees were planted,
to bear fruit and seeds to come,
an orchard, a vineyard, fields of grain,
a harvest to come in tending
that which was planted this day.
