For just today – v3

I cannot fathom forever,
it is too much for me,
but I can trust today,
one day at a time, oh God…

I fall into prayer, Lord,
in praise, in worship of You,
I seek Your face, oh God,
to feel You with me now…

Not for eternity, forever,
for the future, a hope,
for just today, these minutes,
I seek You now, oh Lord…

Walk with me, oh God,
lift me up, oh Lord Jesus,
for I am broken, mortal,
I need Your unending love…

Not forever, eternity, Lord,
though that is my wish, truly,
for today, right now, oh God,
I trust fully in You…
