Jesus told us to love

Jesus told us to love,
to love one another,
not as we would love,
but as He first loved us…
 
Jesus told us to love,
to love our sisters, our brothers,
to love the stranger, the other,
to care for their needs…
 
Jesus told us to love,
for that is the measure,
how a righteous God will judge us,
at a time of His choosing….
