Expose what is broken
not just what I know
what I feel in my heart,
but my hidden pain, my shame,
that I hide from myself…
 
FIX EVERYTHING LORD!
Tear my life wide open
Get to the root, the depths
of my pain, my suffering,
Rip open, expose fully,
Everything needs to change….
 
Rip open my defenses
my self-medication, my sin,
Pull out my pain, soften scar tissue…
Draw the bile from me,
oh, Lord, let me live again…
 
Do not stop, Lord,
The work You have started,
I desperately need healing,
Open a new door for me,
Heal my pain, my sin,
I want to live…
 
Let me be a vessel,
emptied of myself, my idols,
cracked, broken for You,
Let me be useful to You,
to share Your word on Earth…
