lone wolf warriors
no matter how much armor
like sheep for the slaughter
so easy to pick off…
 
pieces pulled from the body
alone, exposed,
unprotected victims
away from God’s love…
 
out in the desert
alone in our struggle
easily attacked, defeated,
by the whispers of Satan…
 
only in the body,
in communion with others
able to find healing
to survive the fight…
