We have become complicit,
complacent in our silence
The evil of these predators
has remained unchecked...
The justice that is required
has been sealed in files...
Silence of the victims, sorrow,
has been purchased with blood...
 
Evil is endemic, pervasive,
Satans are walking with us...
Victims numb with secrets...
a New Babylon, perversion,
depraved indifference, evil,
gathering power, prestige,
abusing children, destroying
all for their satanic lust...
 
They live by the flesh, desires
immoral, not fearing judgment,
oligarchs, the wealthy, politicians,
cloaked in our culture
where all sins are hidden...
silence of the files, agreements,
the cruelty of their power -
immune to justice...
 
A cult of depravity, pervasive,
poison within our body
metastasized and growing
no reconning, no trials,
hidden in the files,
allowed for a season...
The corruption of our culture
is on vivid display...
 
God, in His timing,
will stop this stain, this violence,
The powerful exposed as evil,
God, in His timing,
will mete out justice.
Their evil is being revealed
before the harsh culling...

They live by the flesh,
immoral, not fearing,
the cruelty of power -
immune to justice.
 
A cult of depravity
is allowed for a season.
The Corruption of Culture
is on vivid display.
 
God, in His timing,
will mete out justice.
Their evil is being revealed
before the harsh culling.

Each of us is sacred
hand-made by the Creator,
Each of us is precious
in the eyes of God…
 
There is no precedent, no roadmap,
There is no recipe to follow…
We are original, a masterpiece,
We each are a one-of-a-kind…
 
Our neural pathways,
How we are wired
is unique to each of us,
a mystery divine…
 
Who we are fully
underneath the surface
is a case of first impression,
crossing sacred ground…
 
Humbly we relate to
one another in this journey
aware only of what we don’t know
the unique path we each take…
 
Untangling the nuance,
mystery within our questions,
We trust God to reveal
what we need in His time…

humbly we walk with our brothers,

our sisters on this walk,
We hold each other gently,
accountable, in love...
 
like iron sharpens iron,
We humbly submit,
laying bare the truth
of our walk in this life...
 
We honor our commitment,
our faith in our walk,
holding each other gently,
accountable, in love...
 
like iron sharpens iron,
We hold the mirror of scripture
before our sisters, our brothers,
but first before ourselves...
 
when we fail, we confess, we repent,
to walk closer to God,

Humility – 2 – v3 #poetry #God #Christ #Spirit #relationships #childlike #humility #love #children #innocents

We must make a radical change,
to see Christ in our neighbors…
We must let go of hurt, of hate,
to see each other as children,
heirs with Christ, with one another,
beloved children of our Father,
Our Creator, our heavenly God…
 
We must be the Good Samaritan,
servant leaders, witnesses,
children of the promise, the Good News,
putting on the apron as Christ did,
kneeling at His disciples’ feet,
humbly serving one another,
not warring, picking a fight…
 
We must see each other as God does
with humility and with compassion…
We must wear our faith as a mantle,
Courageous, into the breach against injustice,
But we must measure our own words,
our actions, thinking of others before us,
to model, to live as Christ…

humbly walking with our brothers,
our sisters on this walk,
We hold each other gently,
accountable, in love...
 
like iron sharpening iron,
We humbly submit,
laying bare the truth
of our walk in this life...
 
We honor our commitment,
our faith in our walk,
holding each other gently,
accountable, in love...
 
like iron sharpens iron,
We hold the mirror of scripture
before our sisters, our brothers,
but first before ourselves...
 
when we fail, we repent,
so we might walk closer to God,
holding each other gently,
accountable, in love...

We betray Christ’s commandment,
We are timid, afraid, silent,
We ignore their great evil
When we are called by Jesus
to protect the children, the survivors,
to stand with them, to act…
 
We must protect the children,
The greatest in heaven…
innocent children, the victims,
now survivors, the women and men,
against this evil, this terror,
power, rape on this earth…
 
We fail these innocents,
The greatest in heaven…
allowing the rich and powerful
to destroy their childhood
to alter their life’s path, taking their
innocence, their precious lives…
 
Where are the Christians?
Where are our religious leaders,
those with the power to act, to speak,
We are failing these children…
Epstein’s victims, his survivors are
still crying out, Justice!…

Tooled in the fire of adversity,
unfair trouble, unwanted,
There was endless turmoil
within his spirit, his mind,
The boy I once was, a child...
 
Your words of life fill me,
Your justice informs me,
steeling my spine to act…
I see my neighbor hurting
and I want to speak up…
 
My spirit finds purpose,
quenching the fire of trauma,
You gave me a sword,
the gift of advocacy,
to speak for my fellow man...
 
But, Lord, help me to focus,
all my every effort outward…
Help me to trust You, Your justice,
for every harm against me,
to forgive as you command…

#Humility – 2 – v2 #poetry #God #Christ #Spirit #relationships #childlike #humility #love #children #innocents

We must make a radical change,
to see Christ in our neighbors…
We must let go of hurt, of hate,
to see each other as children,
heirs with Christ, with one another,
beloved children of our Father,
Our Creator, our heavenly God…
 
We must be the Good Samaritan,
servant leaders, witnesses,
children of the promise,
putting on the apron as Christ did,
kneeling at His disciples’ feet,
humbly serving one another,
not warring, picking a fight…
 
We must see each other as God does
with humility and compassion…
We must wear our faith as a mantle,
into the breach against injustice,
But we must measure our own words,
our actions, thinking of others before us,
to model, to live as Christ…

Father, change me within,
Change my neural pathways,
my pain, my ancient hurt,
the scars upon my spirit…
 
Change how I respond
to every sling and arrow,
help me to have mercy,
grace for my fellow man…
 
Help me to see each sinner,
through the eyes of Jesus,
to love my neighbor,
even those who hurt me…
 
Watch over my heart, Lord,
Soften my scar tissue,
Teach me to show grace
when someone harms me…
 
Teach me, Lord, speak to me, Spirit,
Change me from sin to servanthood,
to love as You love me,
Despite my fatal flaws…
 
I turn over my judgment
my desire for justice,
I give them into Your hands,
Help me to be Your servant…

#Humility – 2 #poetry #God #Christ #Spirit #relationships #childlike #humility #love #children #innocents

We need to make a radical change,
to see Christ in our neighbors...
We need to let go of hurt, of hate,
to see each other as children,
heirs with Christ, with each of us,
beloved children of our Father,
Our Creator, our heavenly God…
 
We need to be the Good Samaritan,
servant leaders, witnesses,
children of the promise,
donning the apron as Christ did,
kneeling at His disciples’ feet,
humbly serving one another,
not warring, picking a fight…
 
We need to see each other as God does
with humility and compassion…
We need to wear our faith as a mantle,
to step into the breach against injustice,
but to measure our own words, our actions,
thinking of others before us,
to model, to live as Christ…

We betray Christ’s command,
We ignore their great evil
We are timid, afraid, silent,
When we are called by Jesus
to stand with them, to act…
 
We must protect the children,
The greatest in heaven…
innocent children, the victims,
against this evil, this terror,
power, rape on this earth…
 
We fail these innocents,
The greatest in heaven…
allowing the rich and powerful
to destroy their childhood
innocence, their precious lives…
 
Where are the Christians?
Where are our leaders?
We are failing these children…
Epstein’s victims are
still crying out, Justice!…

Where are the Christians
our religious leaders, pastors…
Are they complicit, complacent,
Are they fearful, too afraid to speak…
Who is in the fight, standing with the victims,
marching, advocating, speaking out
for the survivors of his abuse…
 
Where are the Christians
the leaders of the faith
preaching to protect children,
standing with his victims
those seeking justice, finally…
The rich and powerful
getting away with rape…
 
Where are the Christians
the bishops, the disciples,
in the halls of power, in Congress,
from their pulpits on Sundays,
demanding truth, transparency…
Evil yet protected, silence,
even from in the grave…
 
Where are the Christians
our leaders in the vanguard
standing with the girls,
the Epstein survivors,
the women abused, silenced,
their innocence taken from them
