the fallen angel sneering
the cynicism of the Devil
the hiss of the serpent’s question
doubting the goodness of God…
sin there in the Garden,
Satan and his angels
cast down from heaven
prowling the ancient earth…
lean into His goodness
with a childlike spirit
God loves each of us
When we come to Him as a child…
