deep down within me #poetry #God #confess #repent #forgive #prayer #pain

you only see the surface
my words, my actions,
my emotions running rampant,
pain I expose, unguarded,
when I am transparent…
 
but deep down within me,
within each of us there is struggle,
harm unaddressed, hidden,
ancient pain we hold onto,
that we do not release to God…
 
expose my heart,
my innermost being,
peel each layer upon layer…
Lord, make me transparent
that I may heal…
