Holding onto secrets
never modeling forgiveness
harboring resentments
their sins against me,
gristle I gnaw
like a cow’s cud,
never forsaken, released,
never given to God...
 
Life weighed down
with the stones of their sins
worries mulled over
ancient hurts reinforced
harboring resentments
not giving my judgment over
not trusting God’s justice,
not giving them to God...
