My sin, the hurt I caused them,
seeds of hurt that I planted,
changing the path of their lives,
a legacy of pain...
 
I do not know, truly,
the depth of pain they carry,
deep hurt I caused them,
the sins of my past...
 
Many decades later
too late to heal the scars
layers of hurt buried
in their broken hearts...
 
I can only beg for forgiveness
for the seeds of hurt I planted
speaking the wrong I committed
my sin against them and God...
