I need to die to myself, to my pride,
I need to confess far more to God
the crimes of my sin,
the many breaches I created,
stuffed down, held in secret,
needing to be brought into the light...
 
I have not fallen prostrate,
I have not debased myself fully,
I have not been honest about the depth of my shame,
I must confess I must seek forgiveness,
to make amends for every harm
for every sin I have committed...
 
Help me, Lord, I pray,
I am so scared, so frozen,
for I have sinned so greatly
against You and my fellow man,
Stand beside me as I become willing
Help me to pay my debts
that I may live forgiven...
