being the humble servant
serving Judas, serving Peter,
washing the feet of the disciples
of those who would betray Him,
those who would run away...
 
washing the feet of those
who would betray,
those who would hurt us,
putting Christ’s towel upon us
to wash their feet...
 
embracing His message of service,
of bringing others to Him
donning the mantle of servanthood,
of kneeling before our neighbor
to offer them Jesus Christ...
