Storms in that Troubled Land

Only by your love, oh Lord
will change fully come

Haiti, beautiful island
Garden, land of children
crying out to you

The storms in that troubled land
misery upon tragedy
the world stopping to notice
our eyes turned to them

May God use this moment
awareness, attention
to change the course of their history
hope for the innocent
that the captives may be free

Each of us, around the world
to be the hands, the feet of God
offering prayers and comfort
that these, your children
may feel secure, at peace
in their troubled homeland

Our hearts cry out for them
joining their plea
God grant that they would see
your hand upon their lives
that in the tragedy
life would spring up, anew
all part of your heavenly plan
