in the #woods I #wandered - v3

Letting go of the world, control, agenda,
no sense of time, no distractions,
no cell phones, pagers, connection.

No place I had to be, free to climb,
to explore, to wander, to pause,
to languish, to linger, to cherish,
to walk further, inward, untrammeled,
Deeper into that eternity.

In the woods I wandered, I traveled,
following pathways unwritten, unhindered
by convention, mystery, discovery
beyond the rock wall, the moraine.

Blown down trees still growing
under leaves a stirring, a flutter,
A burst of color, of wonder,
not lost on my imagination.
