the bramble enticing

That moment of harvest
Blackberries calling
The aroma, the look,
Of ripeness, ready,
The bramble enticing,
Causing us to forget
The scratches, the bites
Sinking into flesh
Pain for the harvest
Stain on our skin
Reaching for another
The cycle again.
