I am but a conduit, a vessel – v2

These words are not my words, truly,
I am but a conduit, an empty vessel,
I have been given them to share;
my broken clay holds miracles,
words gifted to me by God…
 
So many words over so many years,
pages upon pages, many iterations,
welling up, rushing, like a torrent,
words of struggle, of rising up,
of my dance with the Creator…
 
I truly don’t own these words, these poems,
they are not really mine, I am just the vessel,
I have known that from the beginning,
I am the empty basket on the lampstand,
holding these words lightly, briefly,
I am filled that I may be poured….
