Neutrality is a myth

In the exigency of the moment,
too many years lost in appeasement,
in walking on eggshells, on broken glass,
barefoot, watching every step…
 
Neutrality is a myth,
every delay is escalation,
existential threats grow greater,
with every moment, each breath…
 
Cries of the innocents,
this nation, their people,
require bold action, resolve,
to meet this moment…
 
The world order failing, weak,
while terror and genocide are rampant,
too long have they stood alone
while the world waits for courage…
