An inner sense of calm – v3

We long to find, to know, to feel,
an inner sense of calm, centered,
focus within the maelstrom, the storm,
trials, the chaos raging around us, this life…
 
We are called to, to strive for, to live into peace,
in this time, in our journey, this moment,
all pouring out, all gently held, waiting,
protected, in the loving hands of God…
 
We long to find, to know, to feel,
an inner sense of calling, of purpose,
within our grasp, our reach, if we can center,
if we can focus on the divine, the Spirit, calling…
 
…wooing us, pursuing us, for our commission,
our mission, our center, our authentic voice,
within the maelstrom, the storms swirling,
grounded in the water, we receive eternal life…
