a pool beyond comprehension

planes of space, of beauty,

the well of this vista

pausing to breathe, to drink,

dipping my cup

drinking deeply

water that won't run dry.

 

drinking from the pool

the well so still, so unchanging,

a constant, always present

for us to dip our cups, our lives,

giving in turn, repeating

drinking deeply

from that well.
