We are under #attack

January was nothing, a test, a trial balloon,

the coup d’etat was just the icing, the tease,

the deflection, the distraction, a faux junta,

the boys, the percenters, the anarchists, militias,

capturing attention, the headlines, distracting us

from the true insurrection, the revolution,

the fight over many generations, the true Big Lie,

the war already raging, democracy, the dream,

of Martin, of the founders, of our people

hanging by a thread, the sword already falling

Damocles, oh our Captain, where are our leaders,

who will stand in the breach, on the ramparts,

while the fire rages, while the coup, the sedition,

the traitors abounding, on the march,

usurping, seizing control, the minority,

the rules, the process, all denying the rights,

the hopes of this people, this nation on the brink.
