The stakes are too high, too important,

we must not despair, we must not be despondent,

over the state of our politics, this nation, this moment in time.

 

For we are so much stronger, more just,

than our enemies imagine, even those within our midst,

underestimate our resolve, our conviction, our mettle in strife.

 

We will not be vanquished, the dream of America will triumph,

though we may be on a journey, the arc of history bends,

toward justice, equality, a more perfect union.
