New wineskins, pliable clay – v2

We are broken vessels,
shards of clay held together,
holding living waters, flames
of the Spirit, everlasting light,
scattered on the earth, picked up,
gathered into the hands of God...
 
Our broken pieces are released,
lovingly placed by our Potter, 
gently put back onto His wheel,
our clay becoming wineskins,
new flesh, new creations,
holding the living waters of life...
 
We are fired in adversity,
made strong through struggle,
we are made whole in love,
we are emptied to be filled,
to be poured out, a blessing,
a free-will offering for the world...
